Server Rules - NoMercyMC

Welcome to NoMercyMC

These rules are designed to ensure a positive, fair, and enjoyable experience for all players on our server. Everyone is expected to follow these guidelines while playing on our server. Failure to comply may result in warnings, temporary bans, or permanent bans from the server.

Important: By joining our server, you automatically agree to follow all the rules listed below. Ignorance of the rules is not an excuse for breaking them.

General Conduct

Respect All Players

Treat all players with respect and courtesy. Harassment, discrimination, bullying, or hate speech of any kind will not be tolerated.

Penalty: First offense: Warning or temporary mute
Repeated offenses: Temporary to permanent ban
No Excessive Profanity

While occasional mild language is permitted, excessive profanity or offensive language is prohibited, especially if directed at other players.

Note: Our server is family-friendly, so please keep your language appropriate.

Penalty: First offense: Warning or temporary mute
Repeated offenses: Extended mute or temporary ban
No Impersonation

Do not impersonate staff members, other players, or famous personalities. This includes using similar names or claiming to be someone you're not.

Penalty: Name change required and temporary ban (1-7 days)
Follow Staff Instructions

Staff members are here to help ensure a positive experience for everyone. Follow their instructions and treat them with respect.

Penalty: First offense: Warning
Repeated offenses: Temporary ban (1-14 days)

Gameplay Rules

No Hacking or Cheating

The use of hacked clients, mods that provide unfair advantages, X-ray texture packs, or any other forms of cheating is strictly prohibited.

Note: Performance-enhancing mods like Optifine are allowed.

Penalty: First offense: Temporary ban (7-30 days)
Repeated offenses: Permanent ban
No Griefing

Destroying or altering another player's build without permission is strictly prohibited. This includes stealing items from chests, destroying crops, or killing pets/animals.

Penalty: First offense: Temporary ban (3-14 days) and restoration of damages
Repeated offenses: Permanent ban
No Exploiting Glitches

If you discover a glitch or bug, report it to staff instead of exploiting it. Abuse of game mechanics or server exploits is not allowed.

Penalty: Dependent on severity - Warning to permanent ban
Respect Server Resources

Do not intentionally cause lag through excessive redstone contraptions, entity farms, or other means. Automatic farms must be equipped with on/off switches.

Penalty: First offense: Warning and removal of offending builds
Repeated offenses: Temporary ban (1-7 days)
PvP Rules

PvP is only allowed in designated PvP areas or with mutual consent. Repeatedly killing the same player (spawn killing) is not allowed.

Penalty: First offense: Warning
Repeated offenses: Temporary ban (1-3 days)

Chat Rules

No Spamming

Do not spam the chat with repeated messages, excessive caps, or meaningless text. This includes unnecessary use of the help channel.

Penalty: First offense: Warning or temporary mute (30 minutes)
Repeated offenses: Extended mute (1-24 hours)
No Advertising

Advertising other servers, websites, or services is not allowed without permission from staff.

Penalty: First offense: Warning or temporary mute
Repeated offenses: Temporary to permanent ban
English Only in Main Chat

To ensure effective communication among all players, please use English in the main chat. Other languages can be used in private messages or designated channels.

Penalty: Warning only
No Sharing Personal Information

For safety reasons, do not share personal information such as real names, addresses, phone numbers, etc., in public chat.

Penalty: Warning and message removal

Building Rules

Maintain Distance Between Builds

Keep a minimum distance of 100 blocks between your main base and other players' bases, unless you have their permission to build closer.

Penalty: Warning and potential removal of the build
No Inappropriate Builds

Do not create builds that are offensive, inappropriate, or explicit in nature. This includes offensive symbols, explicit images, etc.

Penalty: Removal of build and temporary ban (1-7 days)
Clean Up Temporary Structures

Floating trees, dirt pillars, and other temporary structures should be removed when you're done using them.

Penalty: Warning and removal of structures

Consequences for Rule Violations

Depending on the severity and frequency of rule violations, the following actions may be taken:

Warning: A verbal or written notice that your behavior violates our rules.
Mute: Temporary restriction from using the chat or voice communication.
Temporary Ban: Temporary removal from the server for a specified period (hours to months).
Permanent Ban: Indefinite removal from the server with no planned reinstatement.

Note that punishment severity may escalate with repeated offenses, and some serious violations may result in an immediate permanent ban without prior warning.

How to Report Rule Violations

If you witness someone breaking the rules, please report it to the staff using the following methods:

Use the /report command in-game with the player's name and the rule violation.
Contact a staff member directly via in-game message or Discord.
Submit a detailed report on our forums in the "Player Reports" section.

Please include as much evidence as possible, such as screenshots, video recordings, or chat logs.

Remember: These rules are in place to ensure everyone has a great time on our server. Staff members have the final say in all matters and may take actions not explicitly covered by these rules if necessary to maintain a positive server environment.
